MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads towards Latin pop. In the year 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. It reached the number 8 spot at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he was a part of Ozuna to record his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He worked alongside Noriel for Mala Influencia in 2020 and next year, dropped his sophomore album charting Dopamina. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on the TINI streaming hit track Maldita Foto. A 2023 release of 2000 which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was born into the musical home of his family. Both his elder brother and mom are also musicians. In interviews, Turizo stated that music is a must. When he was a kid, he began learning to play the saxophone and ukulele and piano. In spite of initially wanting to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban singer would alter the direction of his career.
